But the second Pecha Kucha evening of presentations, Sound & Fury will at Tramway Glasgow. Artists and creative thinkers take the floor for just under seven minutes when they will share with us their passions, hopes and fears.
Pecha Kucha Night was devised in Tokyo in 2003 a...s an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for chitchat, it rests on a concise presentation format based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds.
Last time at Tramway we heard speakers reflect, imagine, philosophize, critique and entertain us. Expect more of the same this time, but of course entirely different. There is no prescribed theme for the night. The presentations may be as serious or as flippant as the speaker deems appropriate. They create the atmosphere, which promises to be a fast moving eclectic mix of thoughts and topics.
